I need advice. I have this new pony called Sky, but there is 4 of us ( I have 3 sisters ) so we have to share. The only problem is, is that I want to create a bond with her, but as we’re so many its quite hard to do it.
    Any advice?

    Thanks XC123

Do you have any advice on cantering?
    Thx!

    Hi lovemypony,

It sounds like you and rosie are doing well. To stop her being fizzy try giving her a scoop of bran mash in her breakfast and dinner as this helps ease fizziness without making her feel flat. I also have ginger hair !
    What is yr Instagram ?

  7. hi lovemypony
i have ginger hair too! 😊 i play polocrosse on one of my ponies, Jasper he was badly injured in 2018 and 2019 so we banned him from jumping. 😢 i jump on my other pony Seaview Molly before she came to us she was a showjumping superstar so u may have heard of her. 1 metre 50!! god i would be petrified jumping that height! ive jumped 1 metre 20… on foot and 1 metre on a horse…
also if u r getting ur first horse go for something 10 + because then he/she would have matured a little- if u find a horse that can easily jump 1m courses and is 15.3 – 16hh please tell me im looking for a friend.

  8. Hi lovemypony, that sounds great!!! The highest I’ve ever jumped is 60cm – I think. I have 3 friends with ginger hair 👩‍🦰.

Does anyone do ‘British Horse Society’ Challenge Awards? And if you do, what level are you? Just wanted to know.

    Have a great half term!!

  12. Hi, just a random question but does anyone here own or know someone who owns a horse who used to be owned by Snainton riding center? I am trying to track them all down as I miss them very much and I would love to know where they all are right now ❤😊 (Specifically looking for Clyde, Boomer, Steel, Tsunami, Amber, and Apple)
    Any info is appreciated!

hi naomisparkle, i tried emailing her mum, but got told to bog off. she went to try the conemara and it reared because she gave it a smack with the whip and dug her heels in the poor things sides. and she is annoying me so much; she keeps messaging me to tell me to give me a ride on liberty! liberty has a fractured leg! she makes me want to slap her with a wet fish. besides you cant just get on arescue horse that you have never met before. thanks for the advice though. i have my new best friend at the yard, so it doesn’t matter. ( i reckon i am better off without her!)
    thanks lovemypony xx

  15. Hi Pony_hugs123!

    Hi LittleWelshPony!
Thanks for the help! I will put an advert up just after I write this message and I have had a look on NFED, don’t they have some beautiful ponies on there!
    Hi Lovemypony!
Rosie sounds lovely, but she must have a big jump, it’s a good idea to put up deer fencing. I personally don’t have ginger hair, I have plain old brown, but I’ve always wanted ginger hair, and lots of my friends are ginger too.

  17. Hi is it just me having the best easter hols ever coz i can ride my lovely grey Jerry all the time!

  18. lovemypony!! says:

hi guys, me and rosie did a 150cm fence this morning, and OMG it was brilliant! she was superhot and fizzy. yesterday she jumped out of the arena, which was Not so good, so mum is having to put up deer fencing. 🏇🏻also does anyone else have ginger hair like me? i don’t know anyone else with ginger hair.👩🏻‍🦰thank you.

    Hi lovemypony,

She doesn’t sound very pleasant, my pony is a connemara so I know how much of a handful they can be and it certainly sounds like she won’t be able to handle one. I don’t want to be mean but for hers and the horses safety you should tell someone. Maybe her parents or even go so far as to find the advert and email the person. Talk to her parents though and tell them that the riding school is terrible and that they need to have a talk with they’re daughter or something. Other wise one day that poor little connie will either kick or buck and she will end up being sold as a dangerous horse and then sold to someone who uses sharp bits and spurs. Believe me the best thing that you can do is stop her from buying a horses that is far to advanced for her.

    Goodluck

  20. Lovemypony and Ponyhugs123!

Lovemypony. I cant believe your friend!!! She sounds like a right numnah! All breeds and colours are just as beautiful as the next! Spud is gorgeous, and so is my mum’s horse, a completely different breed. I couldn’t deal with a numnah like that – no offense meant. It seems like she’s been kicked in the head more than once!

Ponyhugs123. Have you tried NFED? Or put an ad up on Facebook or another social media site. Good luck!!!

(Spud is most DEFINITELY a unicorn!!!! He may not look like one, but he definitely has the heart of one! My mum’s sharer – also next door neighbor – has a little boy, he’s 3, and he adores Spud. Sometimes we roll up the stirrups and he rides up and down the driveway with this humongous grin on his face. 🦄🐴🦄)

    Hi Sophie_vulcania,
have you had her looked at by an equine dentist? Maybe there is something they can do to help her. If it turns out that it isn’t a problem with her teeth, maybe call a behaviourist to see her too. Also have her tack checked by a saddle fitter. If none of this works then it might actually just be a bad habit, but it could lead to bucking.
I really hope this helps, as when I was seven I had a pony called Leo who had the same habit, so I know exactly how it feels.
    Ponyhugs123 x

  22. Hi! I REALLY LOVE riding my share pony, Bounty. She is a appaloosa bay. She is a fast pony and loves racing. But, she has a really bad habit of pulling her head down while we’re riding. My friend, who shares her too, says that it’s probably a problem with her teeth. What should i do? I really want her to feel better, can you help? Sophie_Vulcania

  23. Ponyhugs123 says:

    Hi guys,
alongside owning a pony, I go to a riding school. I love it there. There is an indoor and outdoor school, loads of hacking and all the instructors and ponies are lovely ( Fred is the best!) I want to help them a bit more but they don’t do things like helping out on the yard in exchange for free lessons or whatever. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Also, can anyone recommend a good place to find ponies for sale? I ideally need a 14- 15 hh pony/horse, about 5-10 years old. Thanks in advance!

  24. lovemypony!! says:

hi naomisparkle! i have advised using a different riding school, waiting a bit to have a horse, and being more thorough, but she said she knew loads more than me, and i barely knew what a horse was! and she has NEVER tacked a horse up!i even tried offering her a lesson on our loan pony, Dream, but she said that Dream was a fat old lazy baggage, that was ready to pop his clogs!!! that is not true; Dream is only 17, and is such a cuddle monster! ( and she recently won an online jumping show!)
she wasn’t very nice, and she has just completley ignored me for the last few days, and she has found a 15.2 exitable conemara which needs a confident rider to further her education. the horse is 5!
    thanks for the advice though,
    from lovemypony xxx
    p.s. i think rosie is a unicorn too!!🦄🐴🐴🐴🐴🦄🐎🐎🕊

  25. NaomiSparkle says:

    Hi lovemypony,
Just be honest with her. If she decides to not be your friend anymore then that just means that you can find new (and nicer) friends, but if she is grateful for your honesty but a little hurt then offer to give her a few lessons on a pony that is quieter or recommend a different riding school to her. As for the colours…. if you know lots of horsey people with different coloured and breed horses for a grooming or tacking up lesson and I am sure that she will learn to love all horses. Also maybe just gently suggest to her that maybe she should wait until she is more experienced before looking for a pony.
    Hope this helps,
    NaomiSparkle X

P.S. I honestly can’t imagine why someone would not love greys ! I have a grey pony and she is the cutest little unicorn ever ! 🥰🦄
