Popcorn the Golden Pony

Harlow’s desperate for a pony of her own, but her mum Chelsea has other ideas, saying they’re too busy to find the time to look after a pony and that it’s too big a commitment. It seems pony-mad Harlow will have to settle for the odd ride on friends’ ponies for now and having one of her own is simply a lovely idea that’s never going to happen.

When life-changing events cause Chelsea to think differently, Harlow is finally allowed a pony of her own and the search begins. But neither of them realise how difficult it is to find one. Everyone else, it seems, has the same idea after lockdown and all the good ponies are being snapped up in no time!

Chelsea, however, is convinced the perfect pony is out there somewhere and she isn’t wrong. When Harlow meets the stunning palomino gelding Popcorn it was love at first sight, and Harlow had a pony of her own – at last. The pair soon form a strong bond and enjoy taking part in various Pony Club activities with much success. It seems Popcorn really is the perfect pony after all, until…

…Popcorn’s lovely nature suddenly changes, and the happy-go-lucky 13.2hh turns into a grumpy and stubborn pony instead. It’s a worrying time for Harlow and her mum as they fear there might be something terribly wrong with their beloved pony. Can they get to the bottom of it? Will the palomino return to being the sweet-natured pony he was previously so that Harlow and Popcorn can continue on their wonderful journey together?
