Percy the Piebald Pony by Susannah and Peter Winfield-Weston

Percy’s life had always been pretty straightforward – he had everything he needed living with Mr Sands and his best friends Billy and Mo – but one day, Percy had to say goodbye to his lifelong friends when Mr Sands moved away.

When he arrives at his new home, Willow Farm, Percy isn’t sure what to make of it, but he soon feels content when he’s given something to munch on in his cosy stable. However, he’s quickly on edge again when he hears someone calling his name. Penny Plum, Percy’s new owner, is over the moon that she finally has a pony and longs to spend all her waking hours at the yard with him.

But Percy starts to feel homesick and, during his first night at his new home, he decides to try make his way back to see his old friends. Will Percy return to Willow Farm and see Penny again, or will her heart be broken if she finds out he tried to run away?
