Mickey the blue-eyed pony by This Esme

After growing up near a riding school and longing to be sat on the ponies who trundled past her window every day, Esme’s dream finally came true when she was able to start loaning ponies of her own. But after experiencing the heartbreak of sending each pony home, her family decided it was time they searched for a pony she could call her very own.

Enter Mickey, the gentle, blue-eyed cremello pony. At first, things weren’t easy for Esme and her new best friend. They struggled in riding lessons and had a rocky start to Pony Club – but despite mean comments and confidence blips, Esme’s dedication and determination shone through so she could discover exactly what her dream pony was capable of.

Esme was determined to gain Mickey’s trust so they could enjoy their adventures together but getting to know a pony’s challenging and full of ups and downs. Rather than letting frustration tear apart their bond, Esme realises that by being patient and loving him no matter what they’d soon become the best of friends! But will Mickey overcome his fears despite Esme’s efforts?
