Hamish’s Heyday by Olivia Parker

Hamish, a Shetland pony with the cheekiest attitude, lives on Glenn and Jemima’s farm in Scotland. Bean – a wise old Shire horse who gives advice to anyone that’ll listen – is Hamish’s best friend! One day, Hamish and Bean noticed how Jemima was becoming increasingly anxious. This only meant one thing… the Pretty Pony competition was just around the corner. Flora was the new kid on the block – a small but stunning champion dressage pony who was due to take to the stage with Jemima at the upcoming comp.

Just three days before the competition, Pony Club rider, Amelia, enthusiastically took Flora out for a hack that soon ended in disaster as the pair went flying into a prickly bramble patch. The vet arrived to bandage up Flora’s sore leg and Jemima’s dream of winning the Pretty Pony competition was shattered.

But can Hamish save the day and uphold the farms reputation by dazzling the judges? After all, he used to be a star back in the day…
