View rescued ponies online day and night!
Watch what charity’s equines get up to 24/7 through a live webcam
The Mare and Foal sanctuary, which helps abandoned and neglected horses and ponies, has launched a live webcam that will give around-the-clock access to anyone wanting to know what goes on in the sanctuary’s main barn. You’ll be able to view the day-to-day activities of the ponies, see what they like to do and get to know them all on a personal level.
The Mare and Foal’s Dartmoor-based sanctuary at Yelverton provides care for semi-feral and wild ponies from the moor. As well as watching the ponies interacting with each other, doing things like having a good old groom, you’ll also be to see some of their training and any vet or farrier visits they may have. You can find the webcam by visiting the Mare and Foal’s new website.
The idea behind the webcam is to allow horsey fans to feel involved with the horses and ponies even if they can’t visit in person. It also lets anyone considering adoption of one of the ponies have a peek behind the scenes before making a decision.
Emma Platt, digital fundraising and activities manager at Mare and Foal, said: “It’s a challenging time for charities at the moment. We hope the webcam and the website will help us to reach out to existing and new supporters so they can see the vital lifelong, loving care we provide and the difference we’re making with their help.”
