National Equine Show

Are you coming to the National Equine Show in March? Free tickets available for under 16s!

The National Equine Show is back at the NEC, Birmingham in 2024, so make sure the 2 and 3 of March are blocked out in your calendar, and come and immerse yourself in everything equestrian!

This will be the second National Equine Show, and following the huge success of the launch event, 2024 is set to be even bigger and better!

Last year, over 10,000 people registered to attend the show over two days, with people waiting for the ribbon to be cut by the celebrities attending the show and the brilliant ambassadors each morning. When inside, visitors entered an equestrian paradise full of everything horsey.

There’s shopping…

The shopping experience at the National Equine Show really is next level with hundreds of brands under one roof, including Horse&Rider and PONY! Whether you’re looking for supplements or stable tools, cakes or mindset coaching, tack or photography, clothes, bedding, boots, safety, the list goes on and continues to grow as more companies sign up! There really is something for everyone at the show – the team at the National Equine Show know how important the experience is, so even if you’re bringing a non-horsey family member with you, they’ll be able to enjoy it, too!

…inspiration…

Inspiration is important to every equestrian, and that’s why there’s a whole stage dedicated to the most inspiring riders and influencers at the show. Presented by the lovely Rosie Tapner, the Inspiration Stage will host many of your favourite horse men and women. Celebs announced so far include social media influencer Megan Elphick, horse trainer and equestrian performer Freddy Steele, highly sought after holistic health and fitness coach Karzan Hughes, Paralympic dressage rider Natasha Baker OBE and International para dressage rider and content creator Tegan Vincent-Cooke and there are plenty of announcements to come over the next few months!

These people will be sharing their highs and lows, the real side of horses and you might get your questions answered by your favourite, too!

…learning…

The second stage at the National Equine Show is the Skills Stage and this is where people go to learn more about how to look after their horses and ponies – and themselves – better! Presented by Rhea Freeman, the line-up of speakers is coming together, but expect to see all sorts. Last year’s Skills Stage hosted talks on mindset, safety, influencers and saddlery, and advice on subjects including responsible worming and equine equipment. These sessions are big on interaction and are great fun to be involved with!

…experiences…

One of the really cool things about the National Equine Show is the level of interaction and the activities around the show and this is done through different zones. Last year saw mechanical horses and virtual reality headsets used to support different experiences that people could get involved with without leaving the show! The 2024 show will see The Dressage Experience, a Rider Wellness Zone, the PolyJumps Eventer Experience, the Rider Zone with PB Movement and The Dressage Coach, the Mindset Zone with Flying Changes Mindset, the Therapy Pony Zone with Lunar Eclipse, and the Yard Supplement Pavilion sponsored by The Equestrian Index.

…Meet & Greet…

Ever wanted to have a selfie with your favourite equestrian celebrity? Or maybe ask them a burning question? How about adding their autograph to your collection? The Meet & Greet is the place for you!  Last year, the Meet & Greet had an incredible schedule over the two days, and 2024 is set to be no different!

What does it cost?

This is the best bit, with everything going on at The National Equine Show, you might think it would be really expensive to get in, but you’d be wrong! Standard tickets are just £10 per day or £18 for the weekend, with children under 16 attending for free. To take things up to the next level, there’s the VIP experience. This is £60 for adults and £40 for children per day as it includes so many extras such as goody bags, free tea and coffee all day, a glass of fizz (over 18’s only) on arrival, access to the VIP lounge at the show and lots more, too.

Love the sound of everything above? Maybe you’d like to be an ambassador for the show?

The National Equine Show selects a number of ambassadors to help spread the word about the show, enjoy the behind-the-scenes and plenty more. Being an ambassador has lots of perks, but people who become part of the National Equine Show ambassador team are expected to help with various tasks before and during the show. You can find out more about this online.

“The National Equine Show offers something for everyone – whether you’re a young rider, an experienced pro, or even a non-horsey parent, there’s a lot packed under the roof of the NEC for you to enjoy, be inspired by, learn and buy.” said Liz Ormesher, Event Director of The National Equine Show. “Last year’s show was amazing, but this year, it’s even better. We’re constantly updating the website with new speakers, partners, features and sponsors – you’re not going to want to miss it!”
