Check here for some autumn pony inspiration!
We have six things you can do with your pony now winter’s on the way
Are you ready for the coming season? Or are you lacking in ideas to keep you and your pony busy now the nights are getting darker and the weather colder and wetter? Have a look at our fave things to do this autumn and feel inspired!
1. Hallowe’en photoshoot
Grab your best pony pals for a super-cool photoshoot! There are so many spooky characters to dress up as, and if you have a dark-coloured pony, you could even draw bones on him to make him look like a skeleton. What’s more, you’ll be testing your knowledge of your pony’s skeletal system at the same time!
2. Pumpkin bake
Your pony is certain to appreciate a yummy treat you’ve made for him after a training session. Have a go at baking him some scrumptious pumpkin treats! Look online for some recipes suitable for ponies.
3. Forest ride
Whether you go alone or with a friend, autumn’s a wonderful time to enjoy beautiful woodlands as they change colour. There’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to snap a fantastic pony pic for the Gram too!
4. Groundwork
Trying to ride after school can feel near on impossible when the sky is rapidly darkening, so why not have a go at groundwork? You’ll save time because you won’t need to tack up and it’s sooo beneficial for your pony.
5. Beach ride
Don’t let the cold wind put you off going to the beach. You’ll still have a great time and as there’ll be fewer people on it at this time of year, there’ll be more room for a good gallop!
6. Hot chocolate trip
Dig out your pocket money and ride your pony to a rural cafe for a yummy hot chocolate to warm you up. It’s a great way to catch up with friends, too, so make sure you invite them along!
