Meet Lemon LeMieux the Shetland pony!

This month, we sat down for a great interview with super-cute Lemon LeMieux – one of our favourite Shetland ponies!

Do you have a BFF?

I love all my fellow horse and pony friends! My pony BFF is Sky, owned by my recue owners, the LeMieux family. We get on really well and love grazing together. I’m quite friendly and get on well with all my stablemates, even the big showjumpers. I may be small, but they know I’m the boss on the yard!

What’s your fave thing to do?

I love spending time being pampered. Nobody groomed me before I was rescued, so I sure do appreciate it nowadays.

How old are you?

I’m 9 years old. I’ve seen a lot in my short life!

Where’s your favourite spot to be groomed?

I love a good scratch under my mane. On my neck. Left a bit…up a bit…ooh yes, that’s the spot!

Can you do any tricks?

I’m learning to bow for treats. Because nobody trained me before I was rescued, I don’t know much about doing tricks! But I’m so cute, nobody minds.

What’s your fave snack?

I just love NAF Cherry Treats – which is a good thing because my groom Holly brings them home from her work at LeMieux for me!

How do you keep your mane looking so good?

My golden rule is simply a good daily groom and a bath before parties.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

I’m affectionate, always happy and super friendly. Wait, is that more than three words?

I love meeting all my fans and getting loads of attention!
