Description
When a little Shetland pony and her tiny foal find themselves abandoned in a field during a heat wave, their future looks bleak. But luck is on their side as officers from an equine charity arrive in the nick of time to rescue them. The mare and foal find themselves at one of World Horse Welfare’s rescue centres, where they are named Lemon and Lime.
But Lemon and Lime need special care and nursing. Even though they are out of immediate danger they still face uncertain futures. Who could possibly want to offer such tiny ponies a home? And even when Lemon does find a new home, with horses which have very impressive careers, will she ever be able to hold her head up high and show her friends she can be just as good at something in her own way?
