Meet Georgia Ellie Equestrian!

We had an awesome interview with YouTube star Georgia Ellie Equestrian!

We spoke to the amazing Georgia Ellie Equestrian (previously known as LilPetChannel) about all things social media and ponies! Georgia is super-popular on social media and is attending all three dates of the 2025 PONY Mag Live Tour. Don’t forget to get a photo with Georgia in our meet and greet sessions!

What is your background with ponies?

I have ridden all my life and been very lucky to grow up with my own ponies. I used to ride for professional showjumpers and last year I started eventing for the first time!

What inspired you to set up your YouTube channel?

I just loved animals and horses and wanted to share what I did with my own pets. I never dreamed it would grow into what is it today.

What tips would you give to someone wanting to start a YouTube channel?

Be yourself and always have fun doing it!

What’s your favourite thing about being a YouTuber?

Getting to share my journey with so many other equestrians and making so many friends along the way. And the fact that just sharing my day-to-day life with horses has inspired others to start riding or competing!

How did you start riding?

My mum taught me to ride as soon as I was old enough to sit in a saddle! From there, despite having my own ponies, I still rode at my local riding school and took part in Pony Club from the age of 7 until I went to university.

How do you deal with competition day nerves?

Lots of positive thoughts! I like to focus on a great training session we have had in the run up to the competition or re-live one of my favourite competition memories in my head to help keep me calm.

Who’s your fave celeb rider?

Ros Canter! I think she’s a phenomenal rider.

Have you ever been starstruck meeting a famous rider?

I recently got to train with 5* event rider Nicola Wilson and it’s the most nervous I have ever been! I almost forgot how to ride!

How many horses do you have at the moment?

At the moment I have 8 horses! I only compete two of them, Ginny and Percy.

What is your top riding goal right now?

To qualify for Badminton Grassroots this year!

What’s your most embarrassing horsey moment?

My first ever riding club camp I fell off cross country in front of everyone and won an actual prize for the best fall at camp!

What’s your best horsey memory?

Probably my first double clear around Buckminster last season. It was just a great day from start to finish!

What’s your fave part of the PONY Mag Live Tour?

Getting to meet so many amazing people! I loved taking part in the meets and greets last year and finding out about everyone’s ponies and meeting so many followers.
