7 signs you’ve found your pony soulmate!

Having a special connection with a pony is the best feeling in the world – and if you spend time getting to know your pony, you’ll be able to build a strong relationship and go on to achieve amazing things! But how do you know if he’s your horsey soulmate? We’ve listed seven signs that mean you’re definitely BFFs.

1. There you are

If your pony hears you arrive at the yard and whinnies, or canters over to the paddock gate when he sees you, it’s a sure sign he loves spending time with you.

2. Total trust

We can’t stop ponies from spooking entirely, because they have their own minds, but we can help them overcome their fears. If your pony looks to you for comfort in a worrying situation, or is instantly reassured by your presence and voice, you know he trusts you loads.

3. Training partner

Your pony is deffo your soulmate if he helps achieve your dreams! When he stands there patiently while you practise your plaiting and bandaging skills for a Pony Club test, for example, it’s a top sign you have a special bond.

4. Fave things

Whether it’s dressage, showjumping, cross-country or hacking, whatever your fave riding activity is, your soulmate loves it just as much as you do so you have hours of fun together!

5. Support crew

You make a great team and encourage each other to try new things because you have so much confidence when you’re together. And when things don’t go to plan, you’ll always look out and care for each other.

6. Happy days

Ponies are great listeners so you can tell them anything and if you’re ever feeling low, there’s nothing better than giving your pony a cuddle and having a chat with him because he’s guaranteed to cheer you up.

If you can’t stop thinking and talking about your pony or day dreaming about your next adventure it shows he has a special place in your heart.
