  1. Got a homework assignment that requires choosing a topic to write a story on? Easy! Make it a horsey theme! Get your inspo from Stacey Gregg or Pippa’s Pony Tails!

  2. If you love competing with your friends, did you know that most horsey schools take part in inter-school competitions? You’ll get to train and ride with your classmates, and compete against other teams at weekends! Super fun!

  3. Exercise books and folders don’t have to be dull – why not use PONY mag posters as wrapping paper to cover them?

  4. Make your next school art project horsey – whether it’s painting, collage or even sculpture, your love of ponies will shine through when you’re getting creative with inspo from your fave animal!

  5. Did you know any school can enter National Schools Equestrian Association competitions? Visit nsea.org.uk to find out more, then speak to your PE teacher to ask for their help in getting organised! You could even end up riding in the main ring at Hickstead at the epic summer champs!

  6. You don’t need to have your own pony to go to a horsey school! Most of them have ponies you can borrow for lessons!

  7. If you’re keen on a more vocational qualification, look for schools or colleges that offer NVQs in equine subjects – there are more of them than you might think!

  8. Did you know some horsey schools even offer BHS exams, which are the main route to becoming a riding instructor or yard manager?

  9. You don’t have to be a boarder to go to a horsey school – most of them are a mix of day pupils and boarding. Although, who wouldn’t want to stay overnight in the dorm with their friends and hang out with their pony as much as possible?!

  10. Horsey schools offer riding as an option for PE lessons. So much better than netball, right?

  11. Whatever school you go to, did you know you can usually include riding as part of your PE GCSE assessment? How cool! Speak to your teachers to find out more.

  12. Why not ask your parents to ditch the car so you can ride your pony to school? Okay, it’s not an option for everyone, but there’s nothing more fun than waving goodbye to your friends from the back of your pony!

  13. Why not ask around at school to find out who else loves ponies, or rides? You’ll be surprised how many do! There’s nothing more fun than chatting about your fave topic – horses – at break time, and your other friends are probably bored with hearing you go on and on!
