Tom’s mega challenge for his sister, Caroline

Eventing star Piggy March’s husband, Tom, is taking on a seriously epic challenge – all in memory of his sister, Caroline, and to help find a cure for paralysis.

Caroline March was a super-talented event rider, but after a fall competing left her paralysed, she sadly died last year at just 31. Now, Tom is doing something amazing to help others with similar injuries.

He’s set himself a huge goal – to cycle 870 miles from Balmoral Castle in Scotland to Windsor Castle in just 100 hours! And that’s not all… Along the way, he’ll also be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – the three tallest mountains in the UK. Wow!

“There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about Caroline,” said Tom. “While we couldn’t save her, perhaps we can make a difference and help others.”

Last year, Tom and Piggy rode their bikes 684 miles in horrible weather to raise money in Caroline’s name – they smashed it, raising nearly £350,000! This time, though, Tom’s going it alone.

He’s raising money for Spinal Research, a charity helping to fund science that could one day cure paralysis.

“This is all about supporting the work of Spinal Research to try to achieve a positive change in Caroline’s memory,” said Tom.
