British Equestrian and British Showjumping have released their updated short-list for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic showjumping team

We’re getting super-excited for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, which kick off on Friday 23 July 2021. The nine Team GB showjumping nominations and three reserves have been sent to the FEI ahead of the games. Just like the eventing and dressage team nominations, this list could change depending on horse and rider fitness and performance over the next few weeks. So, stay tuned for the final squad announcements for each discipline, which will be made on 28 June.

The list of nominated entries for the showjumping team includes…

  • Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson
  • Harry Charles and Romeo 88
  • Ben Maher and Explosion W
  • Emily Moffitt and Winning Good
  • Holly Smith and Denver
  • Alexandra Thornton and Cornetto K
  • Ellen Whitaker and Arena UK Winston
  • William Whitaker and Galtur
  • James Wilson and Imagine de Muze

The reserve nominations are…

  • Scott Brash and Hello Senator
  • Scott Brash and Hello Vincent
  • Amy Inglis and Wishes

Unfortunately, William Funnell has been ruled out of the short-list for his first Olympic Games due to a heart-breaking fall at the Nations Cup last weekend.
