Summer of Safety set to be a success
BETA’s Summer of Safety campaign hopes to raise awareness for the important of safe equipment to protect you and your fave pony
The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) launches its Summer of Safety on 19 June, which is a three-month campaigned designed to raise awareness of how equestrian products play a huge role in keeping you and your pony as safe as possible.
While BETA’s annual Safety Week covers riding hats, body protectors, air vests, high-vis and footwear, the Summer of Safety will feature…
- tack
- yard, horse and rider safety, and biosecurity
- equine health
- riding and road safety
- feed room safety
“We’re really excited about the campaign,” said BETA executive director Claire Williams. “With so many of the riding public paying more attention to safety than ever before, we felt it was the ideal time to raise awareness of products themselves, how they work and the best way to care for them.
The campaign’s supported by various equestrian manufacturers and retailers, as well as professional riders and governing bodies, such as the British Horse Society, Association of British Riding Schools, and the Mark Davies Injured Riders Fund.
You can get involved on social media through BETA’s channels with #BSOS21. You’ll see informative content via posts from experts, riding tips, live sessions, competitions, videos and podcasts to educate riders and owners across the country.
