It’s eight wins out of nine for Tabitha Kyle at Pony of the Year Show

Set over four days, the of Pony of the Year Show (POYS) annual extravaganza took place at Arena UK, Lincolnshire, over the Easter weekend. It was a show to remember for Tabitha Kyle, who had an amazing eight wins from nine classes, including two championships.

Riding 14-year-old Irish-bred Gangnam Style II, Tabitha won the LeMieux JA Championship and Leading Rider Award. The pair achieved the only double clear in the JA class, and, on top of that, Tabitha took second place, too, on super-speedy Atomic Du Bary with just four faults in a very fast round.

Tabitha, who’s in her final year of ponies, also won the Under 18 title with 15-year-old mare Desterly I, as well as another Leading Rider Award. Tabitha and Desterly jumped one of only two double clears and won by an impressive nine seconds!

Tabitha, who went back home to Leicestershire with armfuls of sashes, rugs and Easter eggs galore, said: “I’ve had an exceptional week, and my horses and ponies have been amazing.”
