Take part in a virtual seven-mile charity ride
This Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 August, the Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) Air Ambulance team are holding their first-ever sponsored ride at Kent Showground in Detling. Riders will take part in a fun seven-mile route around the showground and stunning countryside, while raising money for such a fantastic cause.
There’s a limit to the number of people allowed at the event this year, but the team wanted to give all riders from across the country the opportunity to get stuck in. So, they’ve launched a virtual sponsored ride – where you can take part in your local area throughout the last week of August. The distance can be completed in one ride or over several days, and either alone or with a group of your best pals. You could grab the opportunity to explore somewhere new with your pony or just have fun with friends. Every rider will receive a rosette at the end of the challenge, too – how cool!
But don’t forget to show your support to the KSS team and raise some money along the way. They work around the clock to provide fast-response, emergency medical care and have saved thousands of lives thanks to the amazing support they receive.
Amy and her 13-year-old pony, Noddy, are ready to take part. They’re doing their seven miles in the arena at home and have raised almost £500, so far! Whether you raise £10 or £100, every penny counts and goes towards funding treatment for patients in need. You can help save lives, too, by taking part in this awesome event.
So, why not hop on board your fave pony, sign up and support the KSS Air Ambulance? To find out more, head to aakss.org.uk.
