Make the most of donkey madness at Bransby Horses this February half term

Looking for things to do this February half term while away from the yard? Why not discover more about donkeys at the Lincolnshire-based equine rescue and welfare charity, Bransby Horses?

Bransby Horses is running a special half term activity for visitors. The ‘Do You Know Your Donkeys’ activity will take young donkey enthusiasts around the pathways on the farm to meet all the rescued equines, including donkeys!

Sadly, the charity is continuing to find neglected and unwanted donkeys on a regular basis, but thanks to their role in two of the most celebrated films released this year, along with the work Bransby Horses does, the awareness of donkeys’ needs is on the up.

Senior press officer Maria Thompson said: “Donkeys needs are quite different to those of horses and ponies and visitors can find out more on a visit this half term.”

Bransby Horses offers a great day out for all the family with a large visitor centre, playpark, picnic area and café serving hot food and drinks. Enjoy the miles of picturesque walkways that are pushchair and wheelchair friendly – you can even take your dog for a super-fab day out!

If you fancy a bargain there’s also the Donated Goods and Tack Shop filled with pre-loved items. Bransby Horses also take donations, and every penny of profit goes back to their equine rescue and welfare work.

Entry to the charity is free and the activity costs £3.50 per person, which includes a special prize at the end! The activity is running until the end of February so don’t miss out!
