Exciting pony fun at Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025!

Pony lovers, get ready for an absolutely magical experience! The Royal Windsor Horse Show is trotting back into action from 15-18 May 2025, packed with incredible ponies, thrilling races, and mesmerising riding displays. If you eat, sleep, and dream about ponies, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
One of the most spectacular performances this year will be the return of ‘Azerbaijan – Land of Fire’! This breathtaking display by the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan features 20 dazzling horses, 60 talented dancers, and – brand new for 2025 – a marching band! This mesmerising performance combines electrifying music, elegant movement, and unbelievable horsemanship to transport you to another world.
New Show Director James Shaw is especially looking forward to seeing it, saying, “We are thrilled to welcome back the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan to Royal Windsor Horse Show. Having never seen them perform live before, I am really excited to witness this spectacular display of a unique and heroic tale told through dance and incredible horsemanship.”
But that’s not all! There’s so much more pony-packed fun to look forward to, including the super speedy Defender Shetland Pony Grand National, the thrilling DAKS Pony Club Mounted Games, and the magnificent Musical Drive of The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery.
The Shetland Pony Grand National, sponsored by Defender, will see speedy Shetland ponies racing around the arena with their young jockeys. These small but mighty ponies may have short legs, but they are lightning fast – will you be cheering for the winner?
For more action, the DAKS Pony Club Mounted Games will have teams from England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland racing against each other in fun, fast relay games. His Majesty the King absolutely loved watching this event last year, and the final showdown on the last day is guaranteed to have everyone on the edge of their seats!
If you love seeing ponies and horses working in perfect harmony, you’ll be amazed by The Musical Drive of The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery. This incredible display shows riders controlling teams of six horses pulling wheeled guns, all while performing super tricky formations at high speed. It’s a sight you’ll never forget!
And don’t forget the Double Harness Scurry on Friday 16 May! Pairs of ponies will race through a twisty course of cones, with their drivers steering at top speed while grooms balance the carriages – it’s fast, fun, and full of excitement!
With so many wonderful ponies, riders, and displays to enjoy, the Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025 is the perfect event for pony-mad children. Want to go? Ask your family to book tickets at www.rwhs.co.uk – and don’t forget to bring your loudest cheering voice!
