An adorable spotty donkey called Dotty is the latest Redwings Horse Sanctuary resident to join the charity’s adoption scheme.
Three-year-old Dotty has been at Redwings Ada Cole visitor centre in Essex since last year, and by joining the adoption scheme will help raise vital funds for horses in need.
You can adopt Dotty for a year from just £15, and the money will go towards her care, and that of the other rescued residents at the Sanctuary. You’ll be kept up-to-date about Dotty through letters and online blogs, and you’ll be able to go and see her at the visitor centre. You’ll even be invited to her very own birthday party!
When Dotty was rescued by the RSPCA, she had overgrown hooves that were really painful. But despite her ordeal, Dotty is super-friendly and loves having cuddles.
Debbie Scott, Redwings Head of Fundraising, said: “Through supporting Dotty, her sponsors will also be helping the hundreds of rescued horses, ponies, donkeys and mules in our care nationwide, so we hope as many people as possible will take the opportunity to adopt her.”
If you’d like to meet Dotty, head to Redwings Ada Cole, in Epping Road, Roydon. It’s open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm and entry is free!
