No. I thank her but then delete it from my phone. I have no desire to watch it

Yes. I go home to watch it several times, analysing what I could do better next time

I just look at it once and admire how beautiful my pony is

I stick to my own schooling plans, making sure I pass left to left

I like to spend time with her, so we can watch and help each other

I tell her I’ll be out in five minutes, so she’ll have the arena to herself

You're having trouble sitting to the trot, so what do you do?

I accept my pony is just too bouncy and it’s not possible to do sitting trot well on him

I’ll do some work without stirrups

I realise I need to get my pony working more over his back in a correct outline and, in the meantime, I’ll have some lunge lessons

How would you best describe lateral work?

It’s fancy stuff that’s best left to the top riders

Lateral work includes movements such as leg-yield and shoulder-in, which are great for improving my pony’s suppleness

Leg-yield’s the only exercise I know but I’m planning to learn more movements some day

Your pony finds it difficult to bend to the right. What action do you take?

I get the physio out. It’s not my job to make him supple

I wouldn’t know where to start and it doesn’t really bother me that much anyway

I have him checked by my physio or vet and then use suppling exercises, such as circles, serpentines and lateral work, to help even him up
