Hello everyone, I have a welsh section B pony and love her too bits she is diddy and very small for me now but they are the best! 🙂 I have had her for 6 ish years now, I have grown up with horses as my family all rides and I highly recommend for children. welsh ponies, for teen ages probably ex polo we have a mare and she is so gentle and kind not a begginers pony though as they can be quite strong at times! Hey, Try not to worry as that will triger your horse to be nervous. You can also try to put bigger jump wings or tall objects next to the jump to make it harder for you horse to run out!

hi love.wild.ponies, it may sound tough but the only thing you can really do is over come your fear and be tough with your pony. i jump 150Cm but there was a time when i was really scared of jumping, and i had to be very tough with myself and my pony! good luck! lovemy pony xxx

  7. Hello Guys!

i keep on getting nervous to ride again help plees

  8. hey everyone I agree that a quarter horse isn’t best for a first horse depending on how old/tall you are I would deffo recommend a new forest Pony or a cob as they are loveable cheeky and most of them are laid back

    Hey Kaila,
Before I give you my opinion, I’d like to say something: Buying a horse is not always the best option. It takes a LOT of money (Depends on what you do, but many people spend 10K a year on their horse) and a LOT of time, as well as a LOT of experience. If you have been riding for less than 2 years, I’d recommend not getting a horse. And if you have been riding for 2 years or more, then even so, if you don’t have enough money or time to take care of a horse for the rest of its life, maybe leasing a horse would be a better idea.
Anyways, if you ARE going to buy a horse, I’d recommend getting a rescue of some sort. Quarter horses are all-rounders and I quite like them, so maybe you should try one of those, though they sometimes are prone to various hoof problems. What kind of riding do you do? Best of luck.

Hi lovemypony, just chat, ask her to help show you where things are and go, when is best to be at the yard, and yard rules. Just make sure you have fun, don’t ride along in silence, try to start a conversation. There is nothing more awkward than going for a ride and just not talking then when you get back to the yard and someone asks how it went and you say “good” knowing that you didnt talk at all. So enjoy yourself, show interest in her and chat !

Hi Kaila, that depends. All horses and ponies are different. Make a list of all of the things that you want from your new horse,
    Ex: Cheeky, Cuddly, Good Jumper.
Then go on a website and look at options even if one of them meets most criterias but not all then dont rule them out, horses can learn new skills too. Work out what height would be best and view lots of different options before making any deffinet decisions.
    Hope this helps,
