Hi guys! I’m rlly excited because I might be bringing my share pony to the beach (which is 2 hours away!) along with my friends and their horses. I’m so excited but the reason my yard hasn’t gone there for ages is because last time they went there was a big accident where 2 horses and the yard manager getting injured (luckily all three of them made a rlly fast recovery an are all fine now.) my pony has never been to the beach and I’m not sure how he will react to galloping across the beach. I am worried he will be too strong when it comes to our turn as he loves it so much. Could anyone help calm me down? Thx Springles_pony123 xx
Mine is different from you guys!Well I am actually live in India cause my dad is Indian and my mom is British and there is only One riding school which is sooo beautiful. In India horse polo is a big thing but I prefer jumping so I am training my favourite horse Golden (she is a thoroughbred with a chestnut coat)and she loves jumping !
Boulevia_the_Palomino, sorry for my super late reply but yes I do have a pony!Hes called Gethin, he’s 12.3, palomino and a Welsh sec B!We also have another one called Romeo, who is bay, 14.2(he’s overgrown) and a Welsh sec C!
Sorry when I said scrubbing out dirty buckets in the summer I meant in the winter. It is actually quite refreshing in the summer.

Hi ZarraCrazyGirl, my fave part of keeping a pony is all of the appreciation in her eyes when she has a full haynet, clean water, a huge compfy bed, has just had a thorough groom, and is wearing her fave Herbb stable rug, plus all of the cuddles. My least fave part though is scrubbing out dirty buckets and stuff with freezing water in the summer, but it is still worth it for the cuddles. Plus when she rewards me with an amazing jumping session in the arena or being amazingly behaved on a hack. What r yours ?

My fav breeds are Belgian warmbloods and Appaloosas : )

Hey everyone, What’s your favourite part of keeping a horse? And what’s your least favourite?
Take care,
ZaaraCrazyGirl
Ji Springles_pony123, it depends on the breed and height plus the size of yr saddle. Most websites will hv a size guide.

Hi, just wondering what everyone’s fav breed is?
Is it just me who has had my riding school close down for good during lockdown and cannot find anywhere that does lessons for those without horses of their own!? It is soooooooo annoying! Right?
Hi NaomiSparkle, I’m not sure. Some horses in the stables I ride at get clipped but others don’t. I would if you think she’s going to get too hot.
Also can anyone tell me whether you can use a too big saddle pad? It is ok on my share pony without the saddle and is ok on saddle (it is a bit long from Bottom to top of it.) However when I connect it to the d-rings it comes far away from my share pony’s withers. Sorry I don’t think this makes sense. I won’t connect it to the d rings if it won’t be uncomfortable for him. Will it be uncomfortable??? Sorry this is a bit confusing but can someone pls help if u understand? Love Springles_pony123 X
Hi Springles_pony123, thx so much for yr reply it means alot to me. My mum says that she is acting normal for a pony of her age and that a connemara in france kept in a stable at night will always loose her coat like this. I’m not convinced but my mum has been around horses all her life so I suppose she wouldn’t be lying about a ponys health. Also would u or anyone else recommend that in the spring coming I get her clipped ? Thanks so much,
NaomiSparkle X

Hi NaomiSparkle. So sorry to hear ur pony might not be feeling 2 great. I do not own my own horse but have a share in a riding school pony so I don’t know much about cushings. However, I do know that u should defo call a vet if ur worried. I absolutely promise you that you won’t be waisting their time. A vet’s job is to make sure animals stay well and so they rlly won’t mind if it turns out to be nothing (vets love animals and are very kind to them and will be rlly happy if it turns out to be nothing so that ur pony isn’t in pain.) i can not emphasise enough how Important it is to call the vet if u have any worries about ur pony. If he is weeing a bit more than usual, he will loose a bit more water so make sure to keep his water bucket clean and full. Hope this helps a bit and I hope ur pony gets well soon 😊🤞 love Springles_pony123
hi guys, my fave matchy matchy coulor is blue. just wondering what your fave colors of horses are, mine are palimino and grey. what are your fave pony books? lovemypony xx
