Aww, sweeeeet! These adorable donkeys have been knitted by Donkey Sanctuary supporters and are sold by the charity to raise money. Each woolly donkey has its own personality, just like the Sanctuary’s real life donkeys!
How do you fancy getting crafty and creating your own knitted donkey? The Donkey Sanctuary is challenging keen knitters to turn their needles towards creating a herd of knitted donkeys to raise money for the charity and, in doing so, provide sanctuary and TLC for needy donkeys.

No idea where to start? No problem! The charity provides a free knitting pattern, complete with full instructions – choose from a ‘Woolley’ (24cm high) or a ‘Mini Woolley’ (12cm high). Just call Ruth at the Donkey Sanctuary’s community fundraising department on 01395 578222 (remember to ask your parents for permission, of course) and start creating!
