I've never really understood the whole Christmas card malarkey. I mean, does a piece of paper with a snowy picture on it really replace a good 'ol gift?

That is, until now! I'm totally skint and starting to see the beauty of sending Christmas cards instead of pressies!

After my lush holiday and spiffy-ing up session at the spa, I think everyone on my Christmas list will be getting a card instead of a pressie this year, if I can scratch together enough moola for the stamps, that is. Delivering them myself is just a bridge too far!

This is what I was going to get everyone this year:

• Sophia - a trip to Hawaii in a private jet
• Mum - a new chandelier made entirely of gold with big diamonds hanging off it. And chocolates for sharing, of course
• Charlene - um, hadn't thought that far yet

You get the idea. Christmas this year was going to be huge! Until I spent all my money on myself.
