The spectacular Burghley House in Liuncolnshire once again hosted the Burghley Horse Trials on a glorious September weekend. The best horse and rider combinations battled it out for a chance to gain the prestigious title, plus more than £50,000 for a first prize cheque!

But that's not all!

As well as eventing excitement, there was also 600 shops to spend your pocket money in, PONY Club inter-branch show jumping and the Burghley Dubarry Young Event Horse finals to watch.

These PONY readers won tickets through the their favourite horsey mag (PONY, of course!). They watched as Oliver Townend and the stunning Carousel Quest romped through the dressage to complete a clear cross-country and secure the win with a clear show jumping round. Can you believe it?
