So much for peace and quiet! Charlene's decided to take violin lessons and she's awful! It sounds like a cat in pain, not a beautiful melody! Mum won't let me say anything though, 'cos Charlene's really keen on having the lessons. I reckon Mum must be getting hard of hearing if she isn't bothered by the caterwauling!

To try and escape from the noise, I decided to take up lessons, too, only my lessons are to learn how to fish. I had my first lesson the other day, with a chap called Jamie. He showed me how to throw the line out and what bait to use. I was doing really well, and had just caught my first fish, even though it was tiny.

I was jumping up and down in glee, but then I must have tripped over the fishing line because next thing I knew, it was tangled around my legs and I fell over, head-first into the river!

Luckily, Jamie reached in and grabbed me back out of the river. It wasn't a deep river but I was so surprised that I came up spluttering and dripping water everywhere. Poor old Jamie got soaked, too.

I'm off to dry myself off in front of the fire - I don't think Mum will let me go fishing again after I dripped all over her new carpet!
