Well after last week's rain we now have blazing sun! It's almost like being in the Bahamas on a sandy beach, listening to the waves lapping against the shore... er, I think that's what it would be like. I wouldn't like to take a trailer ride that far to find out.

It's been far too hot to do anything this week - even Kate and the kids have just been lying in the garden sunbathing, or sitting in the shade reading books!

The only one who still seems to have any energy is Colonel. It must be that he's too short for the suns rays to hit him or something, or maybe it's because he keeps hiding behind Soloman, using Solly's shadow to keep cool! Cheeky so-and-so!

Anyway, I'm off to soak up the last rays of sunshine to make my coat all glossy before dinner.
